摘要
A novel 16-element array of a micro-strip patch antenna with a peak gain of 14.82 dB is designed and presented for 28.5 GHz millimeter wave applications. The patches are connected in a 2-D planar arrangement by the high impedance micro-strip lines. It is shown that the operational frequency of the antenna is shifted from 28.5 GHz to 33 GHz by varying the width of the feed lines. The array of 16-elements has a single coaxial feed attached to it. The proposed array has a good impedance matching with an obtained value of -21.7 dB and -26 dB for reflection co-efficient at 28.5 GHz and 33 GHz respectively. The simulated results and discussions are presented.
