100th anniversary of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology

The article presents the history of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology, established in 1921, until the outbreak of World War II. The role of its first professors was discussed: Kazimierz Drewnowski, Mieczyslaw Poiaryski, Stanislaw Odrowaz-Wysocki, Konstanty Zorawski, Leon Staniewicz and Roman Trechcifiski. Attention was paid to the phenomenon of the quick establishment of the department. By the end of the 1924/25 academic year, in the abandoned buildings of the Russian university, a full-fledged faculty was established.
