Some comments on energy spectrum and kinetic energy of CO molecules in gasdynamic lasers within the quasi-harmonic approximation

摘要
In the context of carbon monoxide gasdynamic laser, an upper bound of the quantum vibrational number associated with a CO molecule as an anharmonic oscillator is adopted to estimate the kinetic energy of two colliding molecules in a given vibrational level. The result of this estimation is found to be corresponding to the quasi-harmonic approach.
