摘要
In this report, we propose new color filter design applied to light-emitting diodes (LEDs) back-light unit. Our new system with LED back light and new color filter (CF) successfully realizes the color gamut with over 100% against that of the National Television System Committee (NTSC). The brightness of white is 1.5 times that for the system with new CF for cold-cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) and CCFL back light. This system, at the same time, is highly promising for future liquid crystal displays (LCDs) since it can meet both high image qualities and eco-friendly properties of such devices.
