Synthesis and Characterization of Some New Salicylamide Derivatives with Potential Biological Activity

摘要
In order to obtain biological active compounds, the synthesis of some new O-substituted salicylanilides was achieved. In reaction between N-(3-bromo-phenyl)-2-hydroxy-benzamide and chloro-acetic acid ethyl ester, the appropriate ethyl ester was obtained. The ethyl ester was condensed with hydrazine giving a hydrazide. In the last step of the synthesis, the hydrazide was condensed with chloro-substituted benzaldehyde obtaining a hydrazone. All new synthesized compounds were characterized by modem physico-chemical methods (FTIR, H-1-NMR, C-13-NMR, MS), which confirm their structures.
