Finite Element Formulation with Coupled Vector-Scalar Magnetic Potentials for Eddy Current Problems

摘要
A problem of electromagnetic field modeling with consideration of eddy currents is addressed. A finite element formulation with coupled total vector magnetic potential and reduced scalar magnetic potential is presented. It is shown that the matrix of the linear system obtained after discretization is block-skew symmetrical. The efficiency of the proposed method is investigated. The results are obtained by solving the problem of calculating the effect of eddy currents on a magnet activation.
