摘要:
Basilar-type migraine (BM) is a rare form of migraine with aura characterised by neurological signs referable to the brain stem, cerebellum and occipital cortex areas supplied by the basilar artery (BA) and its branches [1]. Whether the primary mechanisms of migraine are vascular or neurogenic is still unknown. BA alterations have been previously supposed to cause BM (which was thus called BA migraine). However, BA vasospasm has never been substantiated, and only isolated data about BA anatomic anomalies have been published.
