摘要
Paper recycling is an essential element of the circular economy. The recycled paper production saves natural resources, but a large amount of water is required to process the waste paper. The substances present in the waste paper, as well as the additives added, pass into water during the pulping. Due to the increasing demands on the environmental friendliness of the production and the ambitions of the zero pollution policy, an effective way of removing pollutants from wastewater is a fundamental requirement of recycled paper producers. Approaches to the wastewater treatment from the production of recycled paper vary according to the processed raw materials and the output product. In general, however, biological processes represent the most widely used wastewater treatment.
