THE NEW GENUS AND SPECIES VITREOSAGITTA (CHAETOGNATHA, SAGITTIDAE) FROM THE NORTHWESTERN SEA OF JAPAN

摘要：

The new species and genus Vitreosagitta gen. n. (Chaetognatha) from the northwestern part of the Japan Sea are described. A detailed description and drawings of the new species Vitreosagitta vitrea sp. n. were made. A diagnosis of Vitreosagitta gev. nov. is given: thick rays and gut diverticula absent; corona ciliata located below eye level, sometimes on neck; portion of corona ciliata situated in trunk section larger than or equal to its cephalic part in all specimens at every mature stage; posterior fins located in their greater part on trunk section in adult mature animals; inner nuclear eye zone smaller than peripheric one; hooks not serrated.
