摘要
Evaluating software engineering artifacts is a difficult task; some empirical methods are available but is a difficult task to measure intangible devices such as methodologies, techniques or software tools [2][12][13] This paper describes the evaluation performed to validate an approach, developed by the authors, for defining standard-based business rules applications. This approach pursues the definition of business rules through standard languages defined by the W3C and OMG organizations to shorten development time in rule based applications and to provide rule engine vendor independence. The approach is the backbone of a tool called K-Site Rules which was developed as a reference implementation for the proposed approach.
