摘要
Jacobsen catalyst, which anchored onto an activated carbon as an enantioselective catalysts, manganese(III) salen complexes, was analyzed for the epoxidation of alkenes. The anchoring process was monitored by UV-vis spectroscopy. A decrease in the intensity of the electronic spectra of the manganese(III) salen complex was observed. The yield and enantiomeric excesses of the epoxidation were determined by gas chromatography. It was observed that the reaction time of epoxidation was increased with the use of heterogenous catalysts.
