A step toward global convergence in partially connected networks

摘要
Most studies to date in Approximate Agreement are not capable of exploiting omission faults. Omission faults are presumed not to occur or a predefined default value is substituted for those values not received, or they are globally discarded before the voting algorithm executes. As a result, omissive and transmissive faults are not differentiated. Recent study has obtained expressions for performance and fault tolerance of completely connected networks in the presence of omission faults. A methodology is developed which logically converts partially connected networks into completely connected networks, in order to obtain the local convergence and fault tolerance expressions for partially connected systems. This methodology provides a foundation for ongoing research in global convergence for partially connected networks.
