摘要
Features in the amplitude and phase variations of the radio wave propagating through the lower polar ionosphere in radio communication links between CHAMP and GPS satellites are observed. Parameters of sporadic layers and altitude profiles of electron density in the lower polar ionosphere during intensive solar flares are analyzed. It is shown, that the radio occultation technique is effective to find a relationship in a chain of following phenomena: the arrival of a shock wave of solar wind; the protons and electrons precipitation from the radiation belt; the small-scale plasma irregularities excitation in the F region of ionosphere; the intensive sporadic E-s layers appearance in the lower ionosphere.(C) 2010 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
