摘要：

This note conducts a survey of recent academic and professional commentary across multiple disciplines regarding the involvement of State-owned enterprises (SOEs) in the global economy with a view to illuminating considerations pertinent to the interpretation and application of international investment law in the context of SOE activity. A number of potentially problematic conceptual complexities raised by the interaction of SOE activity and international investment law are also highlighted.
