Developing Transmission and Routing Photonic Systems Using Advanced Hybrid Integration Technologies

摘要
Recent advances in the development of photonic switching and transmission systems that exploit hybrid integration technologies are reported. Experimental results using micro-ring resonators, silica interferometers and hybrid integrated wavelength converters for amplitude and phase modulated signals are first evidence of the important role of integrated photonics in developing the next generation optical communication hardware.
