摘要
This study aims to describe the main characteristics of emotional intelligence, identified and applied in the organizational culture. The university chosen for this study is the most prestigious institution of economic studies from Romania. Its collaboration with partners includes a wide range of activities in the field of research projects and provides consulting for recruitment, training and continuous professional development. For this reason, people involved in this study are represented by the professors working at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE). A sample of 23 professors was selected to answer a number of questions, during an interview. The objective of the study is to discover professors' opinions towards emotional intelligence and its connection to the organizational culture. More precisely, this study looks at how emotional intelligence is identified among the other participants in the culture of this organization. How the development of emotional intelligence is encouraged and to what extent can it be applied in such a framework, the way people with developed skills of emotional intelligence can improve or create a healthy organizational culture. Therefore, the authors intend to define both the emotional intelligence and the organizational culture, and also establish the connection between the two of them, discussing the importance of their correct application through the opinions of experienced university professors, most of them from Management, Marketing and Business Administration Departments. The method of research is based on interview in order to better understand the various opinions and suggestions. A minimum of 15 questions will help the authors to obtain important information for the development of this research and identify new research opportunities after the conclusions are drawn. As a qualitative method of research, the authors provide useful information from the perspective of experienced professors who express their opinions in order to help people interested in this subject obtain specific information regarding this matter.
