Modalities for Knowledge Management in SMEs

The main purpose of research presented in the article was the diagnosis of the knowledge management process in small and medium-sized companies in the Lower Silesia Voivodship. To achieve the goal, the first part of the article explains the meaning of the term "knowledge" in the literature of science about management. Next, on the basis of the conducted research (in three Universities), an attempt was made to answer the questions: what are the barriers to the intellectual development of the organization and how companies develop knowledge management. Based on the research, conclusions have been presented and can be used to improve the discussed knowledge management system.
