摘要
The collocation method is applied to solve a spatiotemporal integral equation of the second kind describing diffraction of ultrashort electromagnetic pulses by a 3D metal body. The temporal dependence is approximated by first-order splines. Systems of linear algebraic equations with extremely sparse matrices ( including diagonal matrices) are obtained.
