Dialoguing with secularization: the Institute of Faith and Secularity (1967-2001)

The Faith and Secularity Institute (1967-2002) was an ecclesial platform for Atheistic-Christian dialogue during the second half of the twentieth century in Spain. Despite its multiple publications and academic vitality, the archive of the Institution continues to be unexplored territory and proves to be of great interest in calibrating the process of secularization in Spain with greater precision. Consistent with the most recent academic contributions on secularization, the article attempts to analyse religious change in Spain by making use of the documentation and the history of the Institute. It focusses on three particularly important periods.
