摘要
In recent years, emergency physicians have reached beyond their national borders to influence the practice of emergency medicine (EM) in other countries. A major result of this exchange has been the widespread development of multiple components of emergency medical care delivery systems across the world, including EMS systems, hospital-based emergency departments, undergraduate and postgraduate systems of education and training, and the medical and academic specialty of EM. This article describes 37 major lessons learned from more than a decade of efforts to develop EM around the globe.
