摘要
Prospective teachers have well-developed beliefs about learning and teaching that can form obstacles to instruction. We identify a set of beliefs held by preservice teachers and describe how we took these beliefs into account when teaching a course in educational psychology. We asked preservice teachers to define learning and teaching before and after taking the course, and to describe how their beliefs had changed as a result of taking it. This study suggests that targeting preservice teachers' prior beliefs in instruction has a significant impact on their beliefs about learning and teaching. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd.
