Strain-induced order-disorder phase transformation in a Cu3Pd alloy

摘要
X-ray diffraction methods were used to study the effect of deformation on long-range order in a Cu3Pd alloy with a one-dimensional long-period superstructure. It was established that plastic deformation causes an order-disorder phase transformation, which occurs heterogeneously and is accompanied by a refinement of antiphase domains and an increase in the lattice parameter. The nonuniformity of the order-disorder phase transformation is attributed to a nonuniform development of deformation.
