CEO compensation, pay inequality, and the gender diversity of bank board of directors

摘要
Greater gender diversity on bank board of directors is associated with higher compensation inequality because CEOs at banks with more gender-diverse boards have higher base salaries. This effect disappears when women have higher representation on the board and during the financial crisis.
