摘要
Drug-induced iatrogenic toxicities are common in critically ill patients and have been associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Critically ill patients are at increased risk of iatrogenic toxicities due to the underlying critical illness, comorbidities, complexity of care, and increased number of administered medications. Early recognition and management of iatrogenic toxicities is essential.1,2 This review discusses several types of iatrogenic toxicities associated with medications used in the intensive care unit (ICU). We describe the mechanism of such toxicities, clinical presentation and diagnosis, as well as management. Although intravenous fluids and parenteral nutrition are considered drug therapy, this review
