GOAL To learn how to recognize the characteristics of and reactions of humans to fire ant stings. OBJECTIVES 1. To discuss the entomology of the red and black varieties of imported fire ants. 2. To describe the systemic reactions caused by fire ant stings. 3. To outline the identifying characteristics of fire ant stings.
