A Wideband Balanced Bandpass Filter with DM Transmission Zeros Using Partial Electric/Magnetic Walls

摘要
In this letter, a wideband balanced bandpass filter on modified doublet topology with symmetrical differential-mode transmission zeros (TZs) is presented, by using the partial electric/magnetic walls. The filter is comprised of two CPW lambda/2 resonators and one microstrip dual-mode resonator. By using two different kinds of resonators located on two sides of the substrate, the broad-side coupling with enhanced coupling strength can be involved to realize a wide bandwidth. The designed filter exhibits good performance with 3-dB fractional bandwidth of 21.6%, the minimal in-band insertion loss of 0.55 dB, and sharp edge roll-off skirts.
