摘要
Plasma concentrations of cytokines and their modulators in patients with acute pancreatitis were analyzed. Those of soluble TNF receptors (sTNF-RI. and sTNF-RII) were significantly higher in patients with multiple organ failure (MOF) than in those without, even upon admission. Plasma concentrations of soluble TNF receptors and IL-1 receptor antagonist were much higher than those of their counterparts, TNF alpha and IL-1 beta, respectively. These results suggest that the plasma concentrations of soluble TNF receptors are useful predictors for the development of MOF, and that actions of TNF alpha and IL-1 beta could be regulated by their modulators in the pathologic condition of severe acute pancreatitis.
