摘要
All instrumentation and control equipment that may be used in a Potentially Explosive Atmosphere in Europe will need ATEX Certification on or before July 1(st) 2003 or you will not be able to export your products to Europe. This Directive, coupled with the new 'Protection of Workers in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres' Directive, a Directive that makes it mandatory by law for workplaces to be classified, will almost certainly lead to more plant's and factories requiring ATEX certification- there will be no alternative in Europe, so American Manufacturers should be aware of the far reaching commercial and technical implications.
