摘要
The grain refinement of TiAl alloys by rapid heat treatment was investigated. A coarse fully lamellar structure with d = 500 μm could be refined to a fine one with d = 10 μm. To successfully achieve grain refinement, several parameters should be well controlled including the heating rate, annealing temperature, holding time and cooling rate. Mechanical testing showed that the refinement, the room temperature yield strength was improved from 330 to 660 MPa, fracture strength from 415 to 825 MPa and ductility from 0.7 to 3.3%.
