摘要：
The paper deals with the most important theories and studies of gender development whereas the most relevant objections that were raised against them are formulated, too. The attention is paid both to the biological theories of gender development arnong which the socio-biology and psychoanalysis are rated, and to the theories emphasising first of all the social factors in gender development - the social learning theory and theories of cognitive development.
