摘要
Sensitivity of the eddy current measurements depends on several factors, like dimensions of the transducer, an excitation frequency and properties of a tested specimen. Unfortunately a high sensitivity and a high resolution most often may not be achieved at the same time. Multi-resolution eddy current measurements is a flexible solution of this problem. Applying the adaptive probe enables to change measurement resolution, for example through changes of the transducer's dimension (i.e. using a multi-section excitation coils or variable geometry of a core). All experiments with proposed adaptive transducers were carried out using measurement system utilizing Multi-Frequency Excitation and Spectrogram method (MFES) and conducting plates with EDM notches.
