Fraud detection in automobile insurance claims: A statistical review

Automobile insurance fraud detection has become critically important for reducing the costs of insurance companies. This survey paper categorises, compares, and summarises from almost all published data mining-based technical and review articles in automated automobile insurance fraud detection. Compared to all related reviews on fraud detection, this survey not only puts a focus on the automobile-related only hence more subject-oriented but also lists relevant data processing techniques and publicly available real data to perform experiments on.
