摘要
A novel route for preparing Ti3AlC2 Ceramics was developed in the present paper, Firstly, Ti3AlC2 powders was combustion synthesized by using Ti, Al, C as raw materials. Then the as-synthesized powders was hot-pressing sintered under the condition of 1400degreesC for 2 hours and 5MPa pressure. The sintered Ti3AlC2 was densified approximately fully. The main properties of the densified Ti3AlC2 are as follows, related density: 98.9%; strength: 545+/-25MPa and Vickers hardness: 3.7GPa.
