GREEN BONDS, A NEW FORM OF INVESTMENT IN THE STOCK MARKET

This work focused on green bonds and their participation in the Ecuadorian stock market, the objectives were to highlight the benefits of investing with green bonds in the stock market, analyze the disadvantages that can occur when investing in green bonds and establish a structure for the issuance of green bonds within Ecuador. The focus was the explanatory study, the type of research was documentary research, and the method was analysis and synthesis using a checklist and also structuralism and the construction of a functionality model was used. The results obtained revealed that green bonds have more benefits than disadvantages, and the process of issuing green bonds could be summarized in three general groups that facilitate understanding at a glance. It was possible to highlight the benefits of investing with green bonds in the stock market, the disadvantages that may arise when investing in green bonds were analyzed and a structure was established for the issuance of green bonds within Ecuador.
