Microstructures and Piezoelectric properties of CuO-doped (Ba0.98Ca0.02)(Ti0.94Sn0.06)O3 ceramics

摘要
In this study, (Ba0.98Ca0.02)(Ti0.94Sn0.06)O-3-xCuO (BCTS-xCuO) lead-free piezoceramics were synthesized by the conventional solid-state method in order to decrease sintering temperatures. The effect of CuO content on the microstructure and electrical properties of (Ba0.98Ca0.02)(Ti0.94Sn0.06)O-3 (BCTS) ceramics was systematically studied. The sintering temperature of BCTS-xCuO ceramics was decreased greatly by introducing CuO, and the grain size of these ceramics slightly increased with increasing x. When sintered at a low temperature of 1300 A degrees C, the BCTS ceramic with x = 0.5 mol% CuO demonstrated an optimum electrical behavior: d (33) similar to 367 pC/N, k (p) similar to 48.7 %, T (C) = 98 A degrees C, and 2P (r) similar to 23.48 mu C/cm(2).
