The Effect of Child Care Teachers' Motivation for Higher Education and Self-Esteem on Their Happiness

The study reviewed correlation among learning motivation, self-esteem, and happiness for child care teachers who are currently attending a four-year college and examined how their motivation and self-esteem affect their happiness. The surveys were delivered to and collected from 102 child care teachers who attend K and N university with child care related majors in Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheong-do. First, the result showed that child care teachers over 45 years old had higher learning motivation, self-esteem, and happiness. Also, married couples had higher self-esteem and happiness. Secondly, the 3 variables mentioned above showed a positive correlation. Thirdly, self-esteem was the most highly correlated variable for happiness.
