摘要
This paper identifies polyphenylene sulfide fiber by combustion method. microscopic method. melting point method. infrared radiation spectrum method. Chemical dissolution method. The results show that: shrinkage when fiber closes to the flame, melts in the flame burning and has some black smoke, self-extinguishing after leaving the flame, has frowziness, residue is dark brown lumps; Cross section shape of polyphenylene sulfide fiber is round or approximate round, surface of polyphenylene sulfide fiber is smooth; polyphenylene sulfide fiber dissolve in boiling sulfuric acid (95%similar to 98%) and nitric acid (65 %), the color of solution is black and yellow; The melting point of polyphenylene sulfide fiber is 284 degrees C; Observe the characteristic peak of 1090.69 cm(-1) is a method to judge crystallinity of polyphenylene sulfide fiber, can effectively identify polyphenylene sulfide fiber through infrared spectra and spectral bands.
