摘要
The load density of KEPCO system is the world top class and the transmission system is well designed to supply electric power reliably and efficiently. KEPCO transmission system is composed of 154, 345 and 765kV System and is connected by loop system. As a result, one of the serious problems in KEPCO system is much higher fault current than the SCC(Short Circuit Capacity) of circuit breaker. Even though there are several alternatives to reduce fault current, as the superconductivity technology has been developed, the HTS-FCL (High. Temperature Superconductivity Fault Current Limiter) can be one of the attractive alternatives to solve the fault current problem. But the parameters of HTS-FCL should be designed optimally to have the best performance. Under this background, this paper presents the optimal design method of parameters for resistive type HTS-FCL using Monte Carlo method..
