The Attitude of Millennial Generation towards Recycled Products: Does the Millennial Generation Care About the Environment?

摘要
The increasing amount of garbage has caused another problem among the people and the government. The government, organizations and the people altogether have been trying to overcome the issue of garbage. At some places, especially in countries that have adequate technology have been trying to reuse the garbage into recycled products so that it has some economy values. Taiwan is one of the countries that has already implemented garbage recycling program to turn it into more valuable products such as clothes, blankets, baby clothes and other clothes. This research observed the factor influencing the consumer's wish to purchase the recycle products. The respondents in this research were 425 and the research was done by delivering a questionnaire to the millennial generation in Taiwan who were willing to buy recycled products. The data analysis used in this research was structural equation modelling (SEM). The results; environmental knowledge, environmental concern, self image, green advertisement and social influence have significant influence towards the attitude while it also influences the will of the millennial generation in Taiwan to buy recycled products, green corporate image does not significantly influence towards the decision to make the purchase. Altogether, all variables have a the influence of 56.50% towards the attitude of the respondents about recycled products and altogether all variables have influenced the will to purchase recycled products with the R-square of 61.42% and the rest is influenced by other variable outside this research.
