摘要：

This paper aims to give an overview of some current developments in the special research group "Extended Value Chain Management" dealing with modelling and analysis of social networks. An introduction is given into the fundamentals of Polyhedral Analysis and its continuous extension. On that basis we discuss a few issues that modelers may find difficult to deal with. Finally we give directions on how to respond to these challenges.
