摘要
Despite the rich discussions about the role of information disclosure programs in environmental policy, through constructing the theoretical model of environmental pollution information affecting household healthy consumption, by using the latest data from China Household Finance Survey (CHFS) between 2011 and 2015 that covered 113 cities with a sample of more than 60 thousand households, this paper focuses on the impact of environmental information disclosure on household healthy consumption. Besides, causal stepwise regression is adopted to find out the influential mechanism. The results show that environmental information disclosure can significantly promote household healthy consumption by encouraging safety awareness. In addition, urban and eastern residents with basic medical insurance are more likely to enhance healthy expense. Results can be explained with Chinese current economic situation and would have some implications for future study on strengthening environmental information disclosure and guiding consumptiony behaviors reasonably.
