摘要
In this paper a new low cost system for the estimation of biomass in fish farms is presented. The images taken from two cameras are processed to avoid jittering, filtered, and binarized with automatic threshold. Then, the fish are segmented in the pair of images and a stereo matching algorithm is applied to obtain the distances to a set of points characterizing the fish geometry. Finally, the weight of the fish is estimated by using a simple relation well known in the Aquaculture domain. The paper includes a description of the practical implementation in a fish farm and some experimental results that have been validated by means of classical procedures. Copyright (C) 2001 IFAC.
