摘要
We present the results of 10-mu m imaging and UBVRI polarimetric mapping of the central region of 47 Tuc and of the four bright, long-period variables, V1, V2, V3 and V4, from the Sawyer Hogg list. No firm detection of dust emission in the centre of 47 Tuc has been found, indicating that the associated IRAS extended emission should be very diffuse. Circumstellar dust emission has been found around the V1 and V3 Mira variables, providing some information on the dust amount and density, and possibly total mass loss dM(tot)/dt similar to 8 x 10(-8) M. yr(-1).
