摘要
Dynamic VM Consolidation in cloud data center becomes important study recent years that focus to minimizing energy consumption in this field. Many study focus in VM allocation or VM Placement as ways in maximizing utilization resources data centers that leads to reducing power consumption. However, study that evaluate VM selection policy in minimizing VM live migration in dynamic VM consolidation are limited. Live VM migration give a negative impact that know as cost of live VM migration. It give potency in reducing energy efficient (cost energy VM live Migration) in dynamic VM consolidation. This paper evaluate the effect of several VM selection policy such as MMT, RC, MC and our proposed method Constant Position VM Selection in minimizing cost energy VM live Migration. The performance results of Energy consumption, VM Migration, Number of Sleep Host and Cost Effective Energy Migration are used to evaluate the effectiveness of migration virtual machine in minimizing cost energy.
