摘要
This paper presents a high-level conceptualized workflow for the development of a repository related to continuing educational resources for the metadata professions. One of the major challenges facing cataloging and metadata communities concerns current developments and emerging trends in standards and technologies for managing digital information. Through utilization and integration of available open-source (semi) automatic metadata generation tools, we attempted to design a repository that maximizes the self-sufficiency of the system components while also generating high quality metadata records for metadata resources. We also attempted to design a workflow that will permit the repository to serve its primary function as a continually updated warehouse of material that will constitute a centralized resource of continuing education needs of metadata.
