摘要
Research News: Liquid crystals are the latest type of photorefractive materials to be discovered, Initially considered a limitation, photorefractivity can be utilized for information storage and optical signal processing applications. Recent progress in photorefractive liquid crystals is reviewed, including the maximization of intermolecular charge generation using various chromophores such as that in the Figure.
