Interactions and motions of double-solitons with opposite polarity in a parametrically driven system

摘要
Some interesting phenomena of the parametrically excited double-solitons of opposite polarity are observed in an oscillating water channel of finite length, in particular, the repulsive behavior of the double-solitons and their synchronous oscillations. Numerical investigations show that they can be well described by the parametrically driven, damped nonlinear Schrodinger equation. Further exploration reveals that the number of ''particles'', momentum and energy of the system vary periodically in the evolution.
