摘要
The work presented in this paper describes how NASA's Human Research Program's (HRP) Exploration Medical Capability (ExMC) Element has adopted Systems Engineering principles and tools (Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) and the Systems Modeling Language (SysML)) to develop an initial architecture and requirements for a future exploration medical system. The paper describes the utility and effectiveness of the model and it's derived products. Using MBSE tools, medical needs are translated from the clinical domain to the engineering community to inform future lunar vicinity mission architectures. These activities will support the timely availability of recommended medical system requirements to the exploration system design teams, in order to enable a robust crew health system capable of supporting human life during exploration missions.
