摘要：
The protein p53 acts to block tumorigenesis in many ways, including repair of damaged DNA. A report in Cell reveals another way p53 helps protect the genomic integrity of cells, in response to DNA damaging ultraviolet radiation, p53 spurs production of melanin in the skin.
