摘要
Different from traditional magnetic transformers, which transform the electrical energy via the magnetic flux, piezoelectric transformers (PTs) transform the electrical energy via the mechanical vibration. In this work, the accuracy and applicability of different levels of models of PTs are compared and discussed. This work derives the detailed universal attributes of PTs, which include the gain characteristic, the input impedance characteristic and the efficiency characteristic. Especially, the efficiency characteristics with and without impedance matching network of different PTs or PTs under different configurations are compared. The comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of PTs, given in this paper, could provide a guide for the study and design of real PT-based applications.
